
In 1995 Owsley Brown and Jeff Popick met while working at Mayacamas Vineyards in Napa, CA. They shared a common passion for often overlooked Cal-Ital varietals such as Sangiovese and Barbera.
Following a succesful vintage the Chameleon offerings expanded to include a proprietary red blend as well as varietal bottlings of Syrah, Zinfandel, and Merlot. Jeff and Owsley sought out unique sustainably farmed well managed vineyards both in and outside of the Napa Valley for their wines. The quality of these sites are now reflected in the wines being offered by Chameleon Cellars.
The wines are now sold through out the United States and have been met with much enthusiasm.
Several of the wines have been awarded medals and awards.
